Software Engineer
The software engineer will have the opportunity to participate in the growth of Anvik as the company increases its market share, supplying microlithography and photoablation systems to the microelectronics industry, and also as Anvik develops new technologies and applications, expanding the Company's large patent portfolio. The candidate will interact with Anvik's optical, mechanical, and laser engineering group. The candidate should therefore either already possess, or have the desire and ability to acquire, the skills needed to interact effectively in these areas.
In this position the candidate will participate in the design, integration, and testing of key subsystems incorporated into Anvik's microlithography and photoablation systems. Primary responsibilities will include: development and testing of control software, and integration, testing, and optimization of hardware including: vision, alignment, motion control, robotics, lasers and other subsystems. The engineer will also make use of vendor APIs, vendor-specific control languages, communication protocols (RS-232, USB, SECS/GEM, etc.), geometric motion profile algorithms, and image processing algorithms. Some travel to international and national customer factory sites is likely.
Candidates must possess an M.S. or B.S. degree in computer science, EE, physics or some other equivalent degree. Additional qualifications include:
- A minimum of 3 or more years of experience of hardware/software integration experience and machine control, preferably in the semiconductor/instrumentation OEM industry.
- Programming experience in C++ is a must.
- Experience with Microsoft Visual C++ 5.0 or 6.0 Development System and the Microsoft Foundation Classes Library is required.
- Experience with Windows GUI programming is highly desirable.
- Experience with Microsoft Office components is desired.
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor processing, materials and equipment is desirable but not required.
- Ability to turn general requirements into well-defined technical specifications with minimum supervision.
- Ability to present designs and results to management.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with multi-functional teams.
